ABOUT RANDY RESNICK

BHR-Sm-Page-Imagery-200x125px-About-RandyRandy Resnick, a Sullivan County, NY- native, General Manager of Bernie’s Holiday Restaurant, bears the title of ‘Professional Multi-tasker’ among his Executive Chef and many other titles. Growing up in the restaurant and supermarket equipment business, gave way to idealisms of fine dining and exquisite palatable options that you can find in any of the restaurants that Randy has his hands in. Born and raised in Sullivan County, he graduated from Fallsburg Central High School and went on to attend and graduate from Johnson and Wales University’s Culinary Program, Providence, RI. After college he returned to Sullivan County to work in his family’s business, but being young, he decided to broaden his horizons. Traveling through Aspen, Colorado, to Huntington Beach, California, Randy found himself in the movie business for a short stint, to only find his way back into the food industry at the famous Gorky’s Cafe. But Sullivan County and family lured him back.

After returning, he went back into the family business and used his savings to purchase and operate The Dodge Inn in Rock Hill. Nearly a century earlier, this restaurant was the birthplace of the now famous ‘Dodge Inn Steak’. Following The Dodge Inn, Randy opened a heavy equipment business, along with a home-heating, oil-delivery company. Though, the ‘restaurant bug’ never left him and soon thereafter he decided to take over Lakeside 55 Restaurant in Kauneonga Lake.

Moving on from that venture, Randy dove head-first into acquiring the restaurant that he and his family dined at every Friday night as he grew up. Now you can catch Randy at any of the two restaurants that he heads, BHR and Crust Italian Eatery, doing what he does best – bringing good food to good people.
